Police are looking for two men who assaulted and cut a man as he was walking to a convenience store in southeast Wichita early Tuesday morning.
The 29-year-old man was walking to the QuikTrip at Harry and Edgemoor shortly after 3 a.m. when he noticed a car kept driving past him, Lt. Doug Nolte said. At Osie and Fabrique, the car pulled up and two men got out.
They approached him and one knocked him down. The other pulled out a large knife and swung it toward his chest, Nolte said.
The victim held out his arm to block the blow and received a 6-inch gash on his forearm. The two men then left without taking anything.
