Morning fog is expected in much of south-central Kansas today, including the Wichita metropolitan area.
Fog should linger until about 10 a.m., forecasters say, before winds pick up and cloudy skies gradually clear. Highs should reach the mid-60s, with winds out of the southeast intensifying into the teens and gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour.
A chance of showers arrives in the Wichita area after midnight, forecasters say. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s. South winds will be in the teens, strengthening to the mid-20s.
Showers may linger into Saturday morning, forecasters say. Skies will then clear and highs should reach the upper 60s. Easter Sunday will offer sunshine and highs in the upper 60s.
