Wichita native Chris Mann survived the first elimination round Tuesday night on NBC’s singing competition “The Voice.”
Mann, 29, was among the top three vote getters on Christina Aguilera’s team. Singer Blake Shelton’s team competed as well, and two singers from each team were eliminated on Tuesday.
On Monday’s show, Mann sang Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Audience votes overnight determined who advanced.
Next week, the two other teams of singers will compete. Mann should be back on the show on Monday, April 16.
Mann is a graduate of Southeast High School and the son of Wichitans Patti and Mike Mann.
“The Voice” airs at 7 p.m. Mondays on NBC, seen locally on KSN, Ch. 3.
