Students unhurt when car hits school bus in west Wichita

Three children escaped injury when the school bus they were on was hit by a car in west Wichita on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The collision occurred at about 7:20 a.m. at Waddington and Bekemeyer, just northwest of Central and Tyler, according to a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor. The bus was hit by a white car that left the scene.

Police are still looking for the car involved in the collision.
