Two roommates in an Oxford House meant for substance abuse recovery got into an argument about 3:35 this morning when one of them came home drinking. The drinking roommate, when his roommate objected, hit him with a baseball bat, police said.
Oxford Houses take in people trying to recover from alcohol and drug abuse, and one of the agreements one has to make is to avoid getting drunk or high. The 26-year-old man who objected to the drinking by his 49-year-old roommate got a lump and a nasty cut for his trouble, Lt. Doug Nolte said.
Police are looking for the man who hit him.
