Egg hunt for visually impaired kids will be at Watson Park

An Easter egg hunt for visually impaired children is scheduled for April 4 at O.J. Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Blvd.

The event, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., will feature specially designed beeping eggs that emit a high-pitched noise similar to an alarm clock. It is open to children ages 2 to 12.

With help from employees of the Wichita Park and Recreation Department and co-sponsor AT&T Pioneers, children will locate eggs throughout the park and add them to their Easter baskets. After the hunt, they can exchange their eggs for candy.

Other activities will include games, pony rides, train rides, story time, snacks and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Pre-registration is requested. Contact Jennea Noel at 316-337-9244.
