West-side McDonald's robbed again

A west Wichita McDonald's was robbed for the second time this week.

A robber hit the McDonald’s near 21st and Ridge Road on Wednesday night, according to a Sedgwick County dispatcher. Wichita police responded to a report of the robbery at the restaurant, at 7311 W. 21st St., shortly after 9:30 p.m. The suspect is a Hispanic man in his 20s, wearing a white hoodie, bandana and blue jeans, according to the dispatcher.

In the earlier robbery, a robber with a knife threatened an employee who confronted him Monday night at the same McDonald’s, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery, which occurred at about 9 p.m., Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said. Police suspect that the robber might have previously worked at the restaurant. According to a police report, the robber entered a code into a cash register and took money.
