Two men were hurt early Sunday morning when they crashed while fleeing from police after a traffic stop, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly after midnight near Douglas and Estelle, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. An officer had pulled a white Cadillac over at Waterman and Estelle, but the car sped off to the north.
The crash occurred about three blocks away, in an area about five blocks west of Hillside. The Cadillac flipped and struck a utility pole, the supervisor said. The two men inside, ages 32 and 36, were pinned in the wreckage.
They were taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
