Sedgwick County officials are trying to determine the cause of a malfunction that caused at least one tornado siren to go off tonight.
Emergency dispatchers said they received about 20 calls about 8:45 p.m. from people who reported hearing sirens in and around the downtown area.
Dispatchers said there was no severe weather in the area and the siren or sirens stopped after sounding for a minute or two.
