A 28-year-old woman heard glass breaking on her back door Tuesday night and called 911, telling dispatchers she was alone at home.
She then took her phone with her and hid in the bathroom as a burglar ransacked her house, all the time describing what was happening inside her house.
When the burglar left, Wichita police arrested him and recovered all of the woman’s personal belongings, Wichita police Lt. Doug Nolte said.
The burglary happened shortly before midnight in the 900 block of N. Oliver.
The 40-year-old man was taken to the Sedgwick County Detention Facility and booked on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
