Wichita police are sorting through sketchy details surrounding an early Saturday morning shooting in south Wichita.
Police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen said little is known about how a 28-year-old Wichita man sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach. Detectives have been unable to question the victim, who underwent surgery at Wesley Medical Center.
What police do know is that a 21-year-old man brought the victim to Wesley after finding him at the QuikTrip at 47th and Hydraulic. Police were notified by Wesley officials about 3:10 a.m., Brunscheen said.
Police do not believe the shooting occurred at the convenience store, the office said.
