One man went to the hospital and another to jail after a dispute resulted in a stabbing Wednesday night in downtown Wichita, authorities said.
The altercation was reported just before 6:15 p.m. at 630 N. Topeka, police records show. A 46-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. The man is in good condition at St. Francis.
Witnesses told police a 50-year-old man, described by KFDI Radio as a neighbor of the victim, was responsible for the stabbing. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
