Wichitans will see yet another pleasant day, with a high near 60 degrees today under clear skies. Westerly winds will be a bit breezy at 10 to 15 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts could be in the low-20s. Overnight conditions will be mostly clear, with a low in the mid-30s. Winds will remain calm.
The start of the weekend boasts sunny, clear conditions, with a high Saturday in the mid-60s, forecasters say. Breezier conditions are in store, with south winds in the teens and low 20s; gusts could reach around 30 mph. Saturday evening will be mostly clear, with temperatures dipping to the low 30s. Northwest winds will continue throughout the night.
National Weather Service forecasters predict New Year’s Day will be breezy and a bit cooler; the high is expected to be in the mid-40s with overnight low dipping to about 22 degrees.
Highs will likely continue to reach the 40s and 50s under sunny, mostly clear through the first week of the 2012.
