A candlelight vigil scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Riverside Park is being put on by a group dedicated to raising awareness about pancreatic cancer.
The vigil, organized by the Wichita Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, will be at the gazebo in the park.
It will be one of more than 50 “PurpleLight” vigils put on across the country on Sunday.
November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month, according to the organization.
