Two men armed with a homemade gun robbed the Credit Union of America branch on South Broadway just before 6 p.m. Monday, authorities said.
The men came into the branch at 5055 S. Broadway at 5:51 p.m. with masks over their faces and demanded money, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. They left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Witnesses told police the robbers were two black men who were 6 feet tall and had slim builds, the supervisor said. Based on what their voices sounded like, witnesses said the robbers appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old. The men wore white masks and black clothing.
