A Wichita man possibly in his 30s has died in a shooting tonight at a house on the city’s west side.
A number of people were at the home, in the 1800 block of West Mentor, when the shooting occurred, said police Sgt. Jesse Boomer. Police recovered a handgun in the home.
Boomer said police were questioning a number of people and had yet to determine how the shooting occurred. “Right now, we really don’t know what happened,” he said.
The victim, who lived at the home, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, Boomer said.
