A train struck a car next to K-15 south of Derby early this morning, sending the driver to a local hospital in serious condition, authorities said.
The collision occurred at 3:20 a.m. at K-15 and 103rd South, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said. A man in his mid-50s was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis for treatment.
KFDI is reporting the man left a suicide note, but the dispatcher was unable to confirm that information.
