Valley Center to hold Veterans Day event Saturday

Valley Center will hold a Veterans Day program Saturday, featuring a balloon release, flyover, historical displays and music.

An open house will start at 8:30 a.m., followed by a tribute to armed forces at 9:30 a.m. Both events are at the Life Point Church, 400 S. Abilene.

At Veterans Park, balloons will be released at 10:45 a.m., followed by a memorial service.
