WICHITA — One of the two chrome bull sculptures that have stood outside the Kansas Coliseum since 1978 was moved Wednesday.
The bull began its journey to a new location at Maize South High School Wednesday afternoon.
Maize South was one of two sites approved as new homes for the bulls by the Sedgwick County Commission last month.
The other bull will go to the Delano Historic District. No date has been set for that move.

County commissioners agreed to split up John Kearney's "Two Steers" sculpture to accommodate requests for the bulls from both parties, provided they cover the cost of moving and restoring the statues.
County Manager William Buchanan said he was "glad to see so much interest in this piece of art. It served as a great focal point at the Coliseum and now it will be restored and appreciated in a new way."
