WICHITA — A Valero convenience store on South Meridian was robbed early this morning, police said — the second time the business has been robbed in less than a week.
Two men came into the store at 851 S. Meridian, just south of Kellogg, shortly after midnight, Lt. Joe Schroeder said, and one of them had a handgun. They demanded money from the register, then walked west after they left.
They were black men between the ages of 25 and 35, the clerk told police. One was about 5-feet-8 or 5-feet-9 and had a black or olive green T-shirt covering his forehead and beneath his eyes. He was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, black pants, clear or gray latex gloves and white shoes.
The second suspect had a white T-shirt covering his face except for his eyes, the clerk said. He wore a white long-sleeve T-shirt, a short-sleeved black shirt over that, black pants, gray latex gloves and white shoes.
The same store was robbed early on the morning of Aug. 17 by one gunman.
