After a pair of 100-degree days, Wichita will sample more seasonal temperatures today.
Highs should only climb to the low 90s, forecasters say, which is near the average high for late August in south-central Kansas. Sunny skies and light winds out of the east-northeast will predominate.
Overnight lows will slip into the upper 60s, and then Friday should see a surge back toward 100 under sunny skies. Saturday should also be hot, forecasters say, before a cold front brings a chance of showers and a sharp drop in temperatures for early next week.
