Speedy burglars strike east-side Ribbit Computers store

WICHITA — Police are urging businesses with electronics and other high-end ticket items to be on the alert after a remarkably fast "smash-and-grab" burglary early Tuesday morning.

The two suspects broke the glass front door of the Ribbit Computers at 438 S. Rock Road shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday, went inside and took three laptop computers before leaving.

"They were in and out in less than a minute," Lt. Doug Nolte said.

The two men were dressed in all-black clothing and drove off in a silver four-door sedan with a sunroof.

The store has video surveillance, Nolte said, and investigators are hoping it will provide clues to the burglars' identity.
