WICHITA — A Long John Silver's in south Wichita was robbed just before closing time Sunday night, police said.
A Hispanic male walked into the restaurant at 1129 W. Pawnee just before 11 p.m. and pointed a small black handgun at the two employees inside, Lt. Doug Nolte said.
He ordered them to the floor after having one of them open the safe and put its contents into a backpack he was carrying. He then left.
The victims told police the suspect was in his mid-20s, was about 5-feet-10 and 140 pounds. He was wearing a black hat with the number 316 on it. He also had black pants, a black shirt, black gloves and a black or gray backpack.
