A 25-year-old man was robbing Walt's Classics in west Wichita on Saturday when he was recognized by one of the restaurant's employees, according to Wichita police.
The robbery happened at 2:40 p.m. Saturday at 616 S. Tyler, near West Kellogg.
An 18-year-old employee of the fast-food restaurant told Wichita police the man came into the business and showed a black semi-automatic handgun in his right pants pocket and demanded money.
The employee opened the cash register and handed the robber money. At about that time, another employee came from the back of the restaurant and recognized the robber.

"The suspect saw her and ran out the front door and northbound through the parking lot," said Sgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
Yarberry said the suspect is not yet in custody.
