Wichita Garden Show's going-out-of-business sale opens to the public Thursday

The Wichita Garden Show will not be returning next year, and it is having a going-out-of-business sale Thursday through Saturday at the garden show office, 1024 N. West St.

Hours for the sale are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items that were used to put on the show during its 44 years will be for sale, including storage boxes, tools, office supplies, paper products, coolers, caution tape, printers, storage shelves, sign holders, humidifiers, big coffee pots and paint and glazes, said Alex Lingg, the show's director.

"I'm guessing there's easily 5,000 items in this first office," Lingg said today. "It's like seeing 28 years of my life flashing in front of me."
