Wichita police are investigating an aggravated battery incident that left an 18-year-old woman suffering from facial fractures.
The incident happened near 13th and Minneapolis at 2 a.m. Saturday.
According to Sgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department, the woman was walking near Mars Mart when she was approached by three other women, ranging in age of 18 to 20 years old.
She told police the women asked if she was "Vanessa."
She was not.
"She was struck in the face. When she fell to the ground, she was stomped by three females in the head and upper body, causing visible injures and shoe impressions to the left side of her face and upper body," Yarberry said.
When the woman awoke, a witness was assisting her.
The woman was taken to a local hospital.
No arrests have been made.
