WICHITA — Sedgwick County commissioners will vote on an incentive package today for Hawker Beechcraft.
The city and county have proposed putting in $5 million toward a $45 million package to keep Hawker in town. The state agreed to put in $40 million. The money would be spread out over several years, and the company would be required to keep employment at least 3,600 people or face penalties.
Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. in their chambers on the third floor of the courthouse, 525 N. Main.
The meeting is open to the public.
