WSU selects Pickus as interim provost

WICHITA _ Keith Pickus, an associate provost at Wichita State University, has been named the school's interim provost. The appointment is effective June 12, WSU said.

He replaces Gary Miller, who announced May 3 that he was leaving to become the chancellor at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

Pickus has been the associate provost for strategic planning at WSU for the past four years. Previously, he was associate dean of the school's liberal arts and sciences department from 2001-07.
