Police seek information on bike theft

WICHITA — Police are asking the public for information on two men who go by the street names Precise and Black.

The men approached a 21-year-old man who was riding his bike in the 1500 block of South Greenwood at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, said Lt. Doug Nolte of the Wichita police.

The two men asked the bike rider how much he would charge for his bike and then pulled a handgun out and asked what was in his bag.

The bike rider pedaled away, and then he heard a gunshot, police said. When officers arrived, they found a shell casing from a .45-caliber handgun. The bike owner was not injured.

Precise is described as 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds with short hair. Black is described as 5-foot-5 with a stocky build and long hair. Both are black and in their 20s.

Nolte said people with information can call 911. If they want to remain anonymous, they should call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
