Four people escaped injury shortly before midnight Thursday when a bullet came through the wall of a south Wichita house, Wichita police said.
The victims were asleep at about 11:45 p.m. when they heard an object come through a window of the house in the 2000 block of East 51st Street South east of South Hydraulic, Lt. Nolte said.
Several hours later, a 31-year-old man who lives there found a bullet in his bed, Nolte said. The bullet was so disfigured that investigators aren't sure what type of gun it came from.
It's possible someone may have fired a gun several blocks away and the bullet happened to strike the house, Nolte said.
