Two men robbed an elderly couple in their south Wichita house late Thursday night, and Wichita police are looking into whether they are acquainted with the son of the victims.
The robbery occurred shortly after 11 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Ellis between the Kansas Turnpike and South Hydraulic, Lt. Doug Nolte said.
The suspects kicked in the back door and came inside. One took the 70-year-old woman's purse while the second suspect fought with the 67-year-old man.
The suspects then left in a white Ford Crown Victoria a neighbor saw parked in an alley behind the victims' house. No serious injuries were reported.
