WICHITA — Some traffic flow was affected for a while this afternoon near the 200 block of South Market after a gray powdery substance was found on mail at a building that houses state parole offices, emergency dispatchers said.
Although the substance at first seemed suspicious, it turned out to be a harmless mix of dye and paper pulp that had accumulated in a mail bin, said Wichita fire Capt. Frank Buck.
Fire crews were dispatched.
There were no reports of injuries.
The mail was found at a building on South Market that houses Kansas Department of Corrections parole offices.
