After hitting 100 for the first time this year Monday – and setting a record for earliest triple digit high in the city’s history – Wichita will cool down today.
But not much.
Forecasters say today’s high will hit the mid-90s under sunny skies, with south-southwest winds once again giving the temperatures a boost. Gusts will top 30 miles an hour, and steady breezes will be in the 20s.
It’ll be another warm night, with lows in the upper 60s, and Wednesday brings a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. In fact, severe weather is possible Wednesday evening, forecasters say.
