Heat suspected in Butler County roofer's death

A 30-year-old man died Monday night of what appeared to be heat-related causes.

Authorities said the man was working with others on a roofing job in Butler County when he passed out. The others were driving the man to the hospital when they called for an ambulance.

A Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said an ambulance picked up the man near Harry and Webb Road and took him to Via Christi Hospital on Harry just after 6:30 p.m., where he was pronounced dead.
