WICHITA _ Law enforcement officers who have died while serving in the line of duty in Sedgwick County will be honored at noon Tuesday in the Wichita City Council chambers at City Hall.
The ceremony is part of a national recognition this week of law enforcement officers who have died while on duty.
Since 1871, 29 officers in Sedgwick County have died while on duty. Of those, 19 were Wichita police officers, eight Sedgwick County Sheriff deputies and one officer each from Derby and Clearwater.
