Guns, cash, stolen property seized by Wichita police

WICHITA — Two people were arrested and cash, weapons and stolen property were recovered in far east Wichita on Monday night, police said.

Several Special Community Action Teams and a SWAT team served a search warrant at 1815 N. 127th Street East, after receiving a report of potential illegal drug activity there, Lt. Doug Nolte said.

Officers found meth, marijuana, 29 firearms — at least four of which had been reported stolen — and several motorcycles and pieces of equipment. Officers also seized $6,000 in cash.

Three motorcycles, a skid steer front-end loader and a Kubota utility vehicle were among the property recovered. Police are attempting to connect the property with its owners, Nolte said.

A 39-year-old man and 24-year-old woman who lived there were booked into jail.
