Police officer interrupts robbery, chases down suspects

WICHITA — Three men in their 40s were arrested late Tuesday night in connection with the robbery of a man in Midtown, police said.

A 26-year-old man was accosted by three men in the 1100 block of North Topeka at about 11:40 p.m., police said. He was hit in the head, knocked down and robbed.

A beat officer came across the robbery in progress and the three suspects tookoff running. The officer caught up to and arrested two of them.

The third suspect was found walking in the area a short time later and arrested. The victim's property was recovered.
