Chiefs awards: Charles is MVP, Berry rookie of year

No surprises from the Chiefs today when they announced Jamaal Charles as their most valuable player and Eric Berry as their rookie of the year.

Charles finished second in the NFL in rushing with 1,467 yards despite splitting time as the featured back with Thomas Jones. His per-carry average of 6.4 yards was best in the league among running backs.

Berry, a safety, led the Chiefs in interceptions with four. He was also second in tackles behind Derrick Johnson.
