2 arrested in attempted bank robbery in south Wichita

WICHITA — Wichita police made two arrests this afternoon after following footprints through the snow that led away from the scene of an attempted bank robbery.

Emergency dispatchers said two men, one armed with a handgun, entered a Bank of America branch at 593 E. Pawnee shortly after 2 p.m.

The men left the bank on foot without any money, dispatchers said. Police made the arrests after following the footprints to an apartment complex south of the bank.
