WICHITA — A special meeting of the City Council's District 3 advisory board will be held at 7 p.m. Monday to discuss options for reconstructing South Broadway bridge at 34th Street.
The meeting will be held at the WATER Center, 101 E. Pawnee. Residents are encouraged to attend.
The bridge is in poor condition and has the lowest sufficiency rating among the city's bridges city officials have said.
The city is considering several options to replace the bridge, which arches over the railroad tracks near 34th Street.
Plans call for construction to start in 2012 and would take about a year to finish. Cost of the project is expected to be between $12.3 million and $14.6 million.
