Power restored in near west Wichita after overnight outage

Power has been restored to about 1,200 homes in near west Wichita this morning after an outage occurred early this morning.

A power line went down at about 3 a.m., Westar Energy spokeswoman Gina Penzig said, knocking out electricity to homes from Kellogg to Central and Seneca to Meridian. Power was restored by 7 a.m., Penzig said.
