As much as 20 inches of snow fell in parts of Kansas from the massive winter storm that pummeled much of the nation’s midsection on Tuesday.

Wichita officially recorded 5 inches of snow, which fell over parts of two days. That takes the city’s snowfall total for the winter to about 9 inches.
