Five students arrested after climbing onto roof of Southeast High

WICHITA — Climbing up on the roof of Southeast High School may have seemed like a good idea for five local students _ but it got them arrested Tuesday night.

And when authorities found marijuana in the back of the van used to transport them to the Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center, they all had drug possession tacked on to the alleged offenses.

The boys were arrested at about 8 p.m. at the school, according to police records.

Four of them are students at Curtis Middle School, while the other is a student at Southeast. Three of them are 14, one is 15 and the other is 13, according to police records.
