Butler County authorities have released the name of an elderly woman who died following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday night.
Hazel Dyer, 67, of rural El Dorado died at Susan B. Allen Hospital following the collision, which was reported at 5:48 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest 20th Street and Boyer Road, Sheriff Craig Murphy said.
An investigation revealed Dyer was driving south on Boyer when she ran a stop sign and struck a pickup coming west on Southwest 20th driven by 19-year-old Cody Kasper of rural El Dorado, Murphy said. Both vehicles rolled after impact and landed in the south ditch.
Dyer was not wearing a seat belt, Murphy said, while Kasper was. He refused medical treatment at the scene.
