With the holiday weekend now in the rear-view mirror, the workweek gets off to a blustery start in Wichita.
Cloudy skies will eventually give way to sunshine, forecasters say, but there won’t be much of a warmup from the overnight lows. Highs will touch 50, only a handful of degrees warmer than the nighttime temperatures.
Winds will be robust, blowing steadily out of the south in the upper teens, then shifting around to the north-northwest, forecasters say. Gusts will top 30 miles an hour.
Overnight lows will slip into the mid-20s, with northerly winds remaining gusty. Tuesday will be sunny but chilly, forecasters say, with northerly winds topping 20 miles an hour and highs only touching 40. Gusts should again top 30 mph.
