Wichita weather: Clouds decrease as temperatures hit 60s

Today will be notably warmer than Wednesday, forecasters say, with highs reaching the low 60s in the Wichita area.

Clouds will gradually move out of the region as the day unfolds, and south winds will occasionally gust above 20 miles an hour. Clouds return late tonight as lows slip just below 40, and Friday will bring a good chance of showers, forecasters say.

Temperatures will only climb a few degrees throughout the day Friday, topping out in the mid-40s. The rain could change over to snow Friday night, forecasters say.
