Work begins today on intersection improvements at Kellogg and 167th Street West.
The $742,000 project will include dedicated left and right turn lanes plus turn signals, according to Kansas Department of Transportation spokesman Tom Hein. One of the initial impacts of the project will be the closing of 1,000 feet of 167th.
Later phases of the four-month project will include single-lane closures on Kellogg, Hein said.
Access to Goddard schools located on 167th between Kellogg and Maple will be maintained from the north on 167th.
