WICHITA — The founders of ArtAID, a fundraiser that benefits Positive Directions, said Monday that the event will be held every other year instead of annually, with the next event scheduled for Oct. 13, 2012.
Positive Directions provides support for people with HIV/AIDS.
ArtAID, which launched in 1993, has become a popular event known for its outrageous and colorful runway show.
"Going to a biennial schedule allows us to keep building and growing the show without overtaxing our volunteers, donors and team," said Graham Ross, co-owner of Planet Hair salon. He and partners Tod and Linda Ernst developed the first ArtAID.
