Pedestrian struck by at least two cars in south Wichita

A 60-year-old man suffered potentially serious injuries when he stepped out into the street in south Wichita early this morning and was struck by at least two cars, authorities said.

The man was hit at 5:38 a.m. at Pawnee and Washington, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. He was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis for treatment.

KFDI Radio is reporting that the man was not in the crosswalk when he was struck.
