A welcome warming trend begins today in the Wichita area, as temperatures are expected to climb above freezing today – and forge into the 60s by late next week.
Sunshine and modest west winds of about 10 miles an hour will help the temperatures climb, forecasters say. Overnight lows will slip into the upper teens, and then Saturday is expected to offer more sunshine and highs in the low 40s.
The dry spell is expected to last for the next several days, with highs again in the 40s Sunday and Monday.
